Anna Nguyen graduated with honors from University of North Texas (Go Mean Green) in December 2017. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the Frank W. and Sue Mayborn School of Journalism with a concentration in news. She also has minors in marketing and social science.

Anna has been a fan of journalism since she was a kid. She grew up watching the news with her parents, who used the news as a way to learn English and about the area they were living in. She was mesmerized by the stories that were told and always wanted to know more about them. Her passion for journalism grew stronger in high school when she got the chance to take media classes and shadow news reporters in Dallas. Now, Anna wants to use her passion for news and her curiosity to tell other’s stories.

Through her years in high school and at UNT, she has gained experience in print, radio, and broadcast writing. She can also operate different cameras, voice recorders, and editing softwares.

Anna was an intern at the Seacrest Studios at the Children’s Medical Center of Dallas in 2017. While at the Seacrest Studios, she gained firsthand experience in broadcasting, programming, and the operations of a radio and tv studio. This was one of the most rewarding and humbling experiences for Anna because she got the chance to learn about her craft while providing a happy experience for the patients and their families.
